TennisSince Sophomore year I have been playing tennis. For my first year, I was a Junior Varsity player, focusing primarily on learning the fundamental basics of the sport. Following the end of the season, I dedicated most of my summer and a majority of free time I had during first semester on improving at the sport by attempt private clinics in Rome as well as playing with many of my fellow teammates. This has allowed me too move up too the Varsity team for the beginning of my Junior year.

Cross CountryAfter discovering a love for sports during my Sophomore tennis season, I decided to try Cross Country for my Junior year. To prepare myself for the upcoming season, I began consistently running each week from June too August when the season started. This pre-season training helped me lower my 5k time significantly and allowed me to earn a sport on the Varsity team. At are region meet I got my personal best time of 19:27 and as a team we got second in are region, being the highest ranked guys Cross Country team ever in the history of are school.

Governors HonorLooking for an opportunity to gain some interview experience, I accepted an invitation to do the Governors Honors program. This program judges us based on are interviewing skills by running us through a mock interview with a mock application that we must fill out. I was able too successfully pass through Round 1 (Regions) and have my state level interview coming up in March.

MathletesAlthough I did join temporarily during my freshman year, I really delved into Mathletes in my Sophomore year. This includes the club were we would meet up once ever other Friday to solve complex Math problems and learn new math concepts. We also participated in that years M3 Junior Varsity challenge were me and three other people were given 7 hours together to solve one 3 part math problem that implemented data collection and statistics.
